Year 7 Student is Shot Putt Record Breaker! Wednesday 7th July 2010     A massive well done to Matthew Moore-Taylor of year 7 who broke the Balby Carr school record in the shot putt. The previous record of 8.40m was annihilated by Matthew who threw a massive 9.23m. The skills learnt in lessons were put into practice and Matthew’s stunning performance saw his name etched in the Balby Carr history books. This outstanding achievement has allowed Matthew to represent the school at the Doncaster School’s Athletic Championships where he can put his skills to the test against the top shot putters in Doncaster.
